Vintage Hand-Knotted Wool and Silk Persian Nain Rug

Item Details

A vintage hand-knotted wool and silk Persian Nain rug. This has a large star pendant medallion to the center in a palette of scarlet, pale blue and taupe on an off-white field. The field is populated with serrated and lancet leaves with lotus flowers and palmettes in the same colors. It has a wide primary border of lotus flowers and carnation flowers framed by a compound guard border of similar patterns and colors. Rug is finished with wool warp fringe to either end.
