A hand-knotted Persian Sarouk area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of pale rose, blue, green, cream, medium brown and light brown. This rug features a central medallion with stylized flowers in a color scheme of pink, blue, green, light brown and dark brown on a cream background. The pink field has floral motifs. The spandrels are cream with light blue, medium brown, pink and green flowers. The central pattern is encased by a compound border with light blue, darker blue, cream, green and light brown. Short natural cotton warp fringe is at each end and it has an unresolved border.
