A fine hand-knotted Afghani-Caucasian soumak rug. The rug features a rectangular tan field with palmette, vine, and leaf designs in rust and green. A principal border of geometric and foliate designs in similar color palette surrounds the field. The rug is finished with overcast edges and knotted warp fringe at either end.
