A mixed collection of nine mainly African style carvings and decor. It includes two wall plaques, one of an African woman titled Sweet Mother, the other of a woman in a hat inscribed ‘Bolivia’ to the verso. Also included are an Ashanti fertility figure, a Southeast Asian style carved wooden bust; a wooden figure with a stringed instrument from Sierra Leone, a resin figure with a drum; two unmarked wooden platters, and a painted wooden plaque of an African woman signed ‘Gwinya’.

Condition

- abrasions and general wear to most items; scratch to hat of one wall hanging; wear and loss of finish to African style and female plaques; chipping throughout Thai style sculpture particularly to nose and crown; accretions to wood musician figure.

- measurements of the tallest item; smallest is 3.75" W x 6.0" H x 2.25" D.
