A signed limited edition artist’s proof offset lithograph reproduction with remarque of a painting by well-listed and renowned American wildlife illustrator and naturalist John A. Ruthven (Cincinnati, born 1924) titled Bobwhite Quail from the Americana Series. The print depicts a bevy of quail taking flight in an autumnal meadow with leafless treeline to the mid ground and conifers to the distant horizon. The print’s title is printed to the lower center, and the print is signed in-plate to the lower left. The print is signed and numbered 22 from an artist’s proof edition of 25 in pencil to the lower margin. A graphite remarque of a quail on a branch is featured to the lower border. This print is matted in off white linen with white wooden filet, presented behind glass, and framed in a beveled burl wood, wired to hang.
