A 1971 signed limited edition offset lithograph reproduction of a painting by well-listed and renowned American wildlife illustrator and naturalist John A. Ruthven (Cincinnati, born 1924) titled Shawnee from the Patriot Series. The print depicts a Shawnee American Indian leaning over a rock to hunt as a dead goose lies at his feet. Soft snow lines the rocks surrounding the man, and a body of water extends beyond him into the horizon. The print’s title is printed to the lower center, and the print is signed and dated in-plate to the lower right. The print is signed and numbered 1692 from an edition of 3000 in pencil to the lower margin. A graphite remarque of a Shawnee Indian is sketched to the lower right. This print is matted in off white, presented behind glass, and framed in a rustic two-tone dark stained wood, wired to hang.
