A collection of nine Qing Dynasty (1636-1912) watercolor paintings on pith paper featuring different torture or punishment scenes. Included punishments are banishment, arresting, ling ch’ee, bambooing, parading in the streets, wooden pillory, and more. Each scene has a blue with white fibers border, and the majority include a quick title. No signature was found throughout the set in order to identify an artist.
