An antique English stenciled pine marble top washstand. This late 19th century four part English double pedestal style washstand has maroon and black painted stencil decoration on the faux grained pine. The back splash features two rows of fourteen white ceramic tiles with alternating gray tulips and daisies flanked by four supports with turned finials. The white marble top rests upon a section containing three aligned drawers atop the double pedestal bases each with three stacked hand dovetailed drawers between stenciled bamboo turnings and both resting on raised plinth bases. The drawers are fitted with brass plates with ring pulls. No apparent maker’s mark.
