A stipple engraving on paper titled The Blind Beggar by William Henry Simmons after an original painting by Joseph Dyckmans (1811 – 1888). This piece depicts a young woman helping an old man holding a hat at the base of a staircase as a woman looks on from the top of the steps. The title and publication information are in plate beneath the image. It is presented under a mat and glass in a wood frame, wired to hang.

Condition

- discoloration to paper and mat; debris between glass and image area; glass is pitted; nicks and scratches to frame throughout.

- measures frame; visible image measures 19" W x 22.75" H.
