A hand-knotted Kazak style wool area rug. This extremely short pile rug is rendered in a palette of camel, sky blue, silver, rose, ivory, and black. The camel colored field features five diamond medallions with rosette and carnation borders. Framing the simplistic field is a pair of stylized carnation meander borders, along with sawtooth and barber pole minor borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a natural warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
