A pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty armorial export porcelain plates featuring in the center a heraldic shield of Newcastle-upon-Tyne flanked by sea horses and the furled ribbon to read Fortiter, Defendit, Triumphant. The eight sided plates are further hand decorated with a blue and gold floral garland and a cobalt blue border with gold stars.

Condition

- one plate is in good condition with wear to the gold rim
- the second plate has several (2) chips at the edge
