19th Century John M. Peddinghaus Coin Silver Tablespoons
Item Details
A set of three 19th century coin silver tablespoons by John M. Peddinghaus of Colchester, CT (active c.1835-1865), who also worked in Marietta, OH in 1866. Each piece features a pointed oval bowl on an exaggerate tipped fiddle handle with pointed shoulders and a personalized engraving. They are stamped to the backs ‘J.M. Peddinghaus.’ in an oblong cartouche next to ‘Pure Coin’. The total approximate weight is 4.425 ozt.
