A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan area rug. This rug is hand-knotted in a palette of peach-pink, olive, sky blue, ivory , rose, brown, and burgundy. The peach-pink field has prominent scroll leaf designs in ivory and deep brown , with sprays of lilies and lotus blossoms. It has a main border of circular rosettes and bell shaped flowers with carnation meander guard borders. It has fringe to either end and it is marked ’ Made in Iran’ to the reverse.
