Hand-Knotted Persian Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian wool accent rug. The rug has been worked in an abrash palette which includes shades of persimmon, robin’s egg blue, tangerine, hot pink, ivory, cerulean, black, peach, cinnamon, buff, and leaf. There is a large lobed medallion in the center of the persimmon field which is populated by arabesques, lance leaves, and palmettes. The unresolved primary border is flanked by floral guard borders and itself is filled by a stylized carnation meander. The rug has overcast selvedges, short fringe, and is tagged on the underside.
