Hand-Knotted Persian Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian wool carpet runner. The rug has been worked in an abrash palette which includes shades of peach, black, coffee, olive, jade, buff, aqua, and coral. There is a large cartouche medallion with pendant motifs. The coral field is further filled with asymmetrical floral designs. There are narrow floral guard borders and a wider unresolved primary border with simplified and stylized flower and vine devices. The selvedges are overcast and there is cotton fringe at each end. The rug is not marked.
