Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Heriz Serapi wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, ivory, cornsilk, indigo, sky blue, sage, rust, and black. The rust colored lozenge field features a large central pendant medallion along with scrolling geometric shaped floral and foliate motifs, which follow to the spandrels. Framing the field is a main samovar border with meandering vine guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a natural warp knotted fringe to the ends
