Deborah Newton Acrylic Painting on Canvas "Morning Jubilee"

An acrylic painting on canvas titled Morning Jubilee (Remembering the Sunset) by Wisconsin-based artist Deborah Newton. This abstract composition is split by a deep red horizon line in a field of faded, blending, and shifting colors. A thin layer of white gesso is applied in a crackling texture around the red horizon and spreading outwards. It is signed to the lower right corner and dated “1988”. Inscribed to the verso is the title, artist’s name, and date again. The piece is presented in a thin wood frame and wired for hanging.
