An antique Dutch oil painting on canvas. This 19th century painting depicts a woman in a white bonnet hand washing a terracotta pot. It is rendered in a chiaroscuro fashion, with the well-lighted figure emerging from the darkness of the dimly lit kitchen. The unsigned painting is presented in a carved gilt wood frame with a hanging wire mounted to the verso.
Condition
-craquelure throughout painted surface; minor scratches and cracks along the framework.
