Item Details

A 19th century 800 silver snuff box made in Prague. It features an engraved vignette to the lid depicting a gentleman atop his horse among a castle adorned landscape. The vignette is enclosed by ornate scrolled acanthus leaves. To the interior of the box, it is hallmarked with the Austria-Hungry hallmark with ‘B’ for Prague, ‘13’ for 800 fineness, and year 1840. There is a ‘IO’ maker’s mark which is currently unidentified. The overall weight for the item is 2.680 ozt, inclusive of all materials.
