Capel Machine Made "Kashan" Area Rug

Item Details

A machine loomed synthetic Kashan style area rug from Capel. The rug has a large center medallion decorated with a dense pattern of florals, vines, and lotus flowers in a palette of tan, pale green, crimson, and black on a cream colored field. The medallion is centered on complementary crimson colored field and framed with a compound border highlighted by a large cream band decorated with repeating lotus blossoms and corner palmettes. The rug is marked to the reverse.
