Capel Machine Made Belgian "Tabriz" Area Rug

A synthetic machine loomed Tabriz style area carpet from Capel, madein Belgium. The carpet has a large center field decorated with a dense pattern of palmettes, lotus blossoms, and florals in a palette of tan, cream, blues, and burgundy on a garnet maroon colored background. The center field is framed with a compound border of repeating geometrics and florals. It is marked to the reverse and was manufactured by Capel.
