A collection of plates featuring great romances. The collection includes a plate carved in a tortoise shell colored incolay stone plate with the raised image in white of Lancelot and Guinevere. The collection also includes a lapis -blue carved incolay stone plate with the raised image in white of Ulysses and Penelope as well as two white ceramic plates featuring the raised images of couples from Greek mythology. All of the plates are marked to the verso.
