Resin

A resin sculpture inspired by Michelangelo’s Pietà, created by artist A. Giannetti. This sculpture depicts the famed composition of Mary adorned in flowing robes sitting with Jesus resting in her lap as she holds up a wash cloth to his rib wound. To the verso of Mary’s robes is an etched signature. The figures are affixed to an oblong, flattened base.

Condition

- chip with toe missing Jesus; marks to crevices; minor surface wear; chipping present throughout.
