A sterling silver box from 1950 by Birmingham maker Adie Brothers Ltd. This piece has a rectangular shape, featuring a plain exterior with a Greek omega letter to one side and a hinged lid that encloses a wooden interior. The underside is marked ‘Made in England Sterling’, and the back is stamped with the maker’s mark next two three hallmarks of an anchor for Birmingham, a lion passant for sterling, and an ‘A’ date mark for 1950.
