An offset lithograph after an oil painting by Robert Griffing (b.1940), titled Tecumseh, Guardian of The Ohio. Griffing (American, b. 1940) turned to painting after thirty years in advertising, with a continuous fascination for 18th century Eastern Woodland Native American life. This print of an original painting depicts Tecumseh, a Shawnee, on horseback during his efforts to create a unified Native resistance. This print is signed to the plate in the lower left. The art is presented under glass in a medium stained composite frame with pewter tone corner accents, and triple mats. It includes a rear wire and is ready to hang. It includes a certificate of authenticity.
