A signed limited edition offset lithograph by John A. Ruthven (b. 1924) titled Surprise Encounter. Luna Moth. Ruthven is a well-listed Ohio wildlife artist, who depicts four raccoons gathered in a tree trunk staring fixedly at a graceful Luna Moth. This print is part of the Cherished Young Series, Plate II. It is signed in plate and below the plate in pencil to the lower left and numbered 179/500 in pencil to the lower right. The print comes unframed, in an official Wildlife Internationale Inc. folder with gallery certificate of record.
