A signed limited edition offset lithograph by John A. Ruthven (b. 1924) titled Surprise Encounter. Luna Moth with remarque. Ruthven is a well-listed Ohio wildlife artist, who depicts four raccoons gathered in a tree trunk staring fixedly at a graceful Luna Moth. This print is part of the Cherished Young Series, Plate II. It is signed in plate and below the plate in pencil to the lower left and numbered 13/500 in pencil to the lower right, and includes a hand drawn remarque of a raccoon to the lower right. The print is mounted under non-glare glass in a charcoal gray tone composite frame, with triple mats, and is ready to hang with a rear wire. The reverse also includes information from the official Wildlife Internationale Inc., framed by Frame Concepts, Inc.
