Collection of Sterling Silver Decanter Labels Including The Stieff Company

A collection of three sterling silver decanter tags. The collection includes two rectangular decanter tags on sterling chains reading ‘vodka’ and ‘scotch’ by The Stieff Company from their Williamsburg Reproduction Sterling Silver catalog. In 1939, Colonial Williamsburg selected Stieff as the licensed makers of Sterling Silver products for the Colonial Restoration. These decanter tags are from this line and marked to the back ‘Williamsburg, Stieff Sterling’. These are presented with a a third rectangular decanter tag reading ‘Claret’. This tag is marked to the back with the lion passant, the sovereign mark and an unidentifiable maker’s mark. The total approximate weight is 1.195 ozt.
