A vintage mahogany Federal style linen press. This two-piece Federal style mahogany inlaid linen press has a raised three sided architectural pediment on top of the flaring cornice, over the pair of inlaid doors that conceal the four folded clothing drawers inside. The lower section has four long drawers, one over the other, each drawer with two embossed brass ring pulls, over a base with a shaped skirt between French bracket feet. A paper label inside a drawer reads, ‘This piece was handmade in the workshops of Charak Furniture C., Boston, Mass. It is numbered 136 Made in Year 1932’.
