A hand-knotted Persian Bijar area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of scarlet red, indigo, sky blue, coral, white, golden tan, and cerulean. It has an eight pointed star medallion on a hexagonal lozenge patterned with a geometric herati motif. The corner spandrels have boteh and vine designs and the rug is framed with squared meander and rosette borders. It has overcast selvedges and fringe to either end.
