A collection of six vintage offset lithograph prints depicting works by Japanese and Chinese artists. Featured are three prints after Japanese artists printed in 1978 by the New York Graphic Society including Magpie on a Purple Willow after Shikō Imamura (1880 – 1916), White Fox after Kanzan Shimomura (1873 – 1930) and Pine Trees and a Quail after Yokoyama Taikan (1868 – 1958). Other prints include The Eyebrow Pencil after a 1928 woodblock print by Shinsui Itō (1898 – 1972), printed in 1980 by the Denver Art Museum, and a 1981 poster for a New York Art Expo exhibit titled Peasant Paintings from Huhsien County, The People’s Republic of China. The prints are signed in plate and presented unframed.
Condition
- to Fair; wear to edges and corners; prints are unframed and tend toward rolled state; slight discoloration to some images.
