Wooden Frame
A silver gelatin photographic print titled Mantis (Male Nude) by New York photographer David Halliday (born 1956). This sepia-toned photograph depicts a nude male figure lying on his stomach and propped up on his elbows. His head is lowered and turned away from the camera and his hands are pressed together as if in prayer. It is signed and dated 1996 in graphite to the lower right and marked as number 25 in an edition of 25 to the lower left, and it has a label to the verso stating artist and title. The work is presented with a white mat, behind glass, and in a wood frame with wire to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- some accretion to the interior of the frame; minor tearing to the paper backing.
