An oil painting on wood panel titled A Rustic Scene at Dusk by listed British artist Charles H. H. Burleigh (1875 – 1956). This impressionist style work depicts a pastoral scene of a solitary man digging in a field with lush trees to the left and rolling hills in the background. The piece is initialed by the artist to the lower left and includes a handwritten label affixed to the verso with artist name and title. The painting is presented in an ornate gold tone wooden frame with a black liner and a hanging wire to the verso.
