An oil painting of a girl on canvas. This atmospheric portrait depicts the long-haired young figure with her mouth slightly open, her gaze cast upward. Due to a lack of paint at the lower portion of the piece, the figure takes on a somewhat otherworldly effect, with her hair and skin blending somewhat into the ground she has been painted on. This unsigned work is mounted in a molded gold tone frame and has no visible hanging hardware.
Condition
- severe loss of paint to surface of piece; heavy discoloration and foxing canvas, most visible to verso; canvas is notably distended; moderate wear to surface of frame.
