A Japanese bronze Buddha statue, late Meiji, of fine casting, late Meiji. His hands are folded together on his lap in a meditative dhyanasana pose. This Buddha wears ornate robes with a serene expression, elongated earlobes, and coiled hair. The Buddha is highly detailed in his robe’s folds and has other detailed naturalistic features. It is made of metal that has been cast. The piece appears to be unmarked.
