Item Details
A contemporary oil painting on panel by Chicago artist Errol Jacobsen (born 1948) titled Abstract City. The piece depicts an Impressionist-inspired rainy Chicago cityscape, with cars moving under elevated train tracks in a palette of rich red, purple, yellow, blue and grey hues. The work is initialed “E.J.” in yellow paint to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso. - nicks and scratches to frame with abrasions to lower right and lower edge.
