An abstract acrylic painting on canvas Ascending by contemporary Cincinnati based artist Sarah Brown. This abstract composition is comprised of nebulous fields of color in soft green, blue, pink, and purple accented with drips and splashes of white and gray. Abstracted images of birds ascend through the composition. The artist has used thick paint in select areas for a unique tactile quality. The painting is unframed and awaits your choice of presentation. The verso of the piece is signed and dated (’16).

Brown studied Fine Arts and Art History at the University of Hartford and Hartford Art School. She continued her studies with several nationally and internationally recognized artists while establishing her own mode of Abstract Impressionism. Her work has been accepted to and received awards at several group and solo shows and is currently on display in public and private collections throughout the Northeast. Sarah is now a resident of Cincinnati and finds the city a great inspiration. She currently works from her studio at the Pendleton Art Center.
