Signed John Derian Plates with Late 19th Century Victorian Majolica Plate

An assortment of tableware including a pair of signed John Derian plates. Each octagonal piece is decoupaged with a monkey on a ground of French text, finished with a colorful collage border. They are finished with black paint and gold tone trim to the underside, signed and dated. These are accompanied by a late 19th Century Victorian majolica plate. This leaf molded piece is decorated with an argenta palette to the well and a mottled brown glaze to the underside. It bears an impressed mark to the base and minor glazing imperfections indicating the piece was tripod fired during the last decade of the 1800s. A glass vase by Tracy Porter with hand-painted floral detail and an East Asian porcelain plate are also included. Each is marked with a label.

Condition

- crazing, spots of discoloration, minor chips and area of adhesive residue to base of cabbage leaf plate; inscription and adhesive labels present to base of East Asian plate; minor marks and faint scratches throughout; three plates are presented with hangers.
