Item Details
An assortment of tableware by Royal Staffordshire and A.J. Wilkinson. Each earthenware body is decorated with a purple transfer motif depicting a romantic rural vignette, variously framed by a border of farm equipment or botanical motifs. Included are two plates, a pitcher, creamer, bud vase, and six bowls in the Rural Scenes and Tonquin patterns by Clarice Cliff for Staffordshire, marked to the base. Also included is a serving bowl by A.J. Wilkinson Ltd. This piece, crafted in the Pastoral Davenport pattern, matches Rural Scenes; Clarice Cliff designed for both manufacturers.
Condition
- minor marks and faint surface scratches; various crazing throughout.
