Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Tribal Area Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian tribal area rug, attributed to weavers of the Khamseh. This hand-knotted rug features a color scheme of deep indigo, moss green, burgundy, peach-pink, ocher,and ivory. It has anchor medallions on a rhomboid shaped pole medallion with hooked edges. The deep indigo field is patterned with angular oak leaves and it framed by a samovar patterned main border with carnation meander guard borders. It has overcast selvedges and short wool warp fringe to either end. It is not labeled.
