A pair of bronze sculptures after well-listed French sculptor Ernest Rancoulet (1870 – 1915) featuring Rencontre à la Fontaine. These pieces depict a young man and a young woman carrying an urn, with lifelike textures and detail in the pair’s clothing, hair and ground. Each figure is presented on a round wood base with a gold tone metal label plate, and signed in mold.
Condition
- oxidation thorughout; some cracks to metal pieces; significant cracking to bases.
