A sterling silver flatware service for eight in the Southern Charm by Alvin. The pattern, introduced in 1947, features a petite floral border with acanthus leaf accents to handle end. The fifty-five piece grouping includes eight hollow handle knives, eight dinner forks, eight individual salad forks, eight round bowl soup spoons, and sixteen teaspoons. Also includes three serving spoons, a gravy ladle, a flat handle master butter, sugar spoon and long handle baby spoon. The flatware is marked, ‘Alvin Sterling Pat. Southern Charm’ to the handle verso and comes housed in a two-tier wooden storage case. The total approximate weight, excluding the hollow handle dinner knives, is 57.160 ozt.
