A collection of offset lithographs on paper after botanical illustrations by Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1759-1840) and originally engraved by Bessin and Langlois. Included are four different varieties of roses. Each identifies the species to the lower edge, with artist and engravers’ names to the lower corners. Each is presented behind a French mat and glass in a gold tone frame with saw-tooth bracket for hanging on three of the four pieces.
Condition
- image paper and mats are discolored, mat burn near the edges of the mats; nicks and scratches around the frames.
