A vintage Shure Unidyne model 556S unidirectional microphone, circa 1951, and more. Includes a Shure Unidyne 556S unidirectional microphone, made in Chicago. The original Unidyne 55 series microphones were introduced in 1939, famously used by Elvis, Ella Fitzgerald, and many other celebrities and entertainers. This microphone is a smaller version of the original, released in 1951, and was made for broadcast applications. Also included is a Shure A86A microphone line transformer with XLR connectors, an Electro-Voice Slimair model 636A microphone with no capsule or base, a vintage grey XLR cable, a 4-pin to 1/4’ TRS cable, and a 1/4’ cable.
Condition
- In appearance. Some rust spots to the mic and discoloration to transformer.
- All equipment is untested.
- Slimair microphone is missing its capsule and the base.
