German 800 Silver Tea Service
Item Details
A German 800 silver tea service. The grouping features high angular handles with narrow polished spouts, having acanthus and berry motif finials to the lids and chased laurel garland cascades. The grouping includes a coffee pot, teapot and matching creamer with covered sugar with wood and imitation ivory spacers. Each piece is marked ‘800 Gutruf’ with the German national reichsmark indicating a minimum of 800 silver purity. The total approximate silver content, inclusive of all materials, is 65.675 ozt.
