Lee Pastel Drawings with an East Asian Watercolor and Silver Gelatin Photograph

Item Details

Wood

A pair of pastel drawings of flowering plants signed and dated ‘Lee ’71’ with an East Asian watercolor painting on silk of geese and a silver gelatin print of an older man by Robert E. Chandler. The pastel drawings, each signed toward their lower right corners, are rendered with blue and yellow and are matted together in a slim frame with a wire for hanging to its verso. The watercolor is rendered with shades of green and yellow and depicts a group of geese on a hillside. There are signature seals and a line of calligraphic text along the edges, and the painting is matted under glass in a gold tone bamboo-motif frame with a wire for hanging and a tag reading ‘Chinese watercolor c. 1900’ to its verso. The black-and-white photograph depicts a bearded older man in a straw hat and is matted under glass with a signature and title in pencil to its lower margin, and is presented in a gold tone bamboo-motif frame with a wire for hanging.
