A reproduction print of a WWII silver gelatin photograph Witchcraft and Crew by Cincinnati based professional photographer and distinguished WWII Veteran Vincent Re (1925-2005). This photograph depicts a crew of four kneeling before the Witchcraft. The plane’s mascot, a witch riding a machine gun while holding a bomb, is painted on the side of the plane. The title appears in white at the base of the composition. This piece is signed in plate and dated (’90) to the lower right. It is presented in black and gray matting, behind glass, and in a black metal frame. The verso of this piece is equipped to hang.
Re won many awards and accolades for his outstanding photographic work locally and abroad. Throughout his career, his photography has captured the zeitgeist of the times in which he was a part, from historical to social events.
