Brass Table Lamp with Dolphin Motif

A brass table lamp. The decorative details of this lamp, including the wreath finial and dolphin supports, reference le Dauphin, the heir to the throne of France, so called because of the dolphins found on his coat of arms. This lamp has an ornate brass finial and an intricately pleated off-white shade. There are three sockets with candle sleeves and brass bobeches. Each light is held by the tail of an inverted dolphin which in turn rests on a circular footed base. Powered on when tested.
