Exquisite 1901 John Shillito YMCA Athletic Loving Cup

One of the influential citizens of Cincinnati, Ohio through the years was John Shillito. He founded Cincinnati’s first department store. This beautiful silver plate loving cup was presented to the winners of the 8th Annual Mid-Winter Athletic Carnival given by the Y-M-C-Athletic Club. The John Shillito Company of Cincinnati, Ohio was the sponsor. It was a one mile relay race. The date is March 7, 1901. The names of the winners are also engraved on this loving cup.
