A machine-woven tapestry after the ‘Tree of Life’ tapestry design by English textile designer William Morris (1834-1896). This piece, designed during the British Arts and Crafts movement, features a flowering central tree in the style of medieval tapestry, with blooming flowers around the trunk. It is surrounded by a border of arabesque vines and stylized floral blooms. The piece is lined with a cotton fabric and has a sleeve at the top for a hanging rod. It is unmarked.
